that I eat not the bread of idleness...: Byron's Eagle Scrollwork

Byron printed this eagle out and used spray adhesive to mount it onto his wood... but what amazes me is how good he cut it out. We don't know what to do with these things he's cutting out yet, but he's doing some really nice work.

Mother-in-law to 2: Brent (Tiff's "Sailor" husband) and Ciji (Danny's wife) - who also happen to be brother and sister! (What are the odds?!?) and...

wife and helpmeet to Ned for 17 wonderful years.

We have 10 acres of land where we garden, currently raise chickens and rabbits and our dogs have run of the whole 10 acres and then some. We had goats, sheep, turkeys and ducks but once the coyotes found a free meal, they kept coming back until they devoured everything. The chickens we have now are an attempt to try again.

The fruit-bearing trees we've planted on our property are: orange (different varieties), pear, mulberry, lemon, kumquat, loquat, fig and a papaya and persimmon tree that have yet to produce (the persimmon's really been through the wringer... the goat ate it one year and I ran over it with the lawn mower a couple of times).... we also have big thornless blackberries, blueberries, bananas, grapes and muscadine... and cactus! (I'm so proud of my newly-planted cactus that grows big, tender pads that are virtually spineless! Talk about good eatin'!!) I've also got Lemon Balm, several varieties of Mints, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Asparagus, Spanish Tarragon, Stevia.
