Coffee

All of my kids love Starbucks coffee. They've only taken Byron a few times, but he's hooked on Starbucks coffee, too. He's always trying to get me to take him there and I finally gave in Friday morning. It was cold and since we were passing right by the place, I agreed. Good thing Tiff called us on the phone just as we were pulling in because Byron didn't know what to order... neither did I for that matter, so she told me what to say. You almost have to take a college course just to know how to order at Starbucks. Byron had a Grande Green Tea Frappuccino with a shot of espresso and I had a Grande ........ uhhhh......... great, now I can't remember. Caramel Blended Coffee something or another. It was okay, but I had to add quite a bit of sugar and for $9 (for both), I'd much rather drink my coffee at home. I probably don't drink $9 of Folger's coffee all month long!! Ned doesn't say anything when we waste his hard-earned money, but no one has to tell me that's just plain silly and I'll go broke QUICK on that road!

I sat down to a good hot, cup of delicious CHEAP coffee that I truly enjoyed this morning and thought about my brother. He made me a cup of coffee one day that was sooo good... he put a packet of hot cocoa mix in my cup with extra cream. It was so rich and sweet and chocolatey. It's not an everyday coffee, but then again neither is Starbucks, in my opinion. So, if I get the urge for a fancy cup of coffee, I'll just add some kind of goodness to it... like this creamer I found yesterday, but for most days I add evaporated milk and feel like I'm in heaven!

Oh, and after I snapped this pic and was about to blog about how it reminded me of my brother, he calls me on the phone and the first thing he says "I'm sitting here on my second cup of coffee... mmm, it's so good" and so I told him that I was thinking of the coffee he would make for us and he said that's what he made this morning for him and Zach!! Awww, isn't that something?
