We got an invitation for a sale exclusively for Reward Zone members. The first fifty people were to get free chargers. Well, Byron couldn't wait for that day to arrive so he could go to the sale and get a charger. Well, after dropping Ned off at the airport, we killed some time and then drove to Best Buy at least 30 minutes before the sale was to start and people were already lined up at the door! Byron almost hyperventilates and says "I know what this is!! It's a sting operation... I've seen this before on tv... they tell you you've won something and then arrest you... it's a STING!" LOL He's 15 years old and doesn't even roll his eyes at us and he's worried about it being a "STING"?? I was rolling in laughter! I had to holler "Hurry up and get out of the truck!" He's too funny. Well, by the time I parked and walked up to meet him in line there were quite a few people behind him already. He thought it was exciting to wait in line LIKE CATTLE for the slaughter. The picture above shows not even half the line of people. I couldn't believe how many people showed up and FILLED their baskets with electronics. The only thing we got that night was a new cell phone for Krys. There were other things I needed that I could've bought, but I couldn't shop under all that pressure! I don't know what I was thinking in taking Byron to that sale... now he wants to do it all again on Black Friday and this time he'll be prepared ahead of time... with a list, I guess. Oh and the free charger we got? A joke! Probably worth a nickel or maybe a dime. It was just a gimmick to get people in there. What did I expect, huh? Oh well, live and learn.
